Terms of service

The Company provides the lipro Warranty Service ("the Service") in accordance with the lipro Warranty Service Terms ("these Terms"). Customers must review and agree to these Terms before using the Service.

Article 1 (Scope)
Products manufactured by the Company are eligible for the Service. The Service is not available from overseas and may only be used by customers residing in Japan. The Service covers the main unit only; accessories (such as the remote control and dedicated adapter) are not covered.

Article 2 (Warranty Period)
2.1. Warranty Period
In principle, the warranty period is three (3) years from the date of purchase. However, for the light source contained in the product (such as the lamp unit), the warranty period is one (1) year from the date of purchase.
2.2. How to Use the Warranty Service
If you wish to use the Service, please contact the lipro Support Center below. After confirming the cause of the malfunction of the item submitted for repair, the Support Center will determine whether repair is necessary. To resolve your issue more quickly, the Company will then provide a device of equivalent or higher performance (a refurbished product) as a replacement unit and carry out repair by replacement. The malfunctioning unit will be collected at the time of replacement; however, if the Company determines that collection is unnecessary, the customer shall dispose of it appropriately on their own.

Article 3 (Service Fees)
3.1. Fees for the Service
Within the warranty period, the Service is free of charge. Outside the warranty period, repairs are provided for a fee.
3.2. Breakdown of Fees
The total of the following constitutes the Service fee.
A. Out-of-warranty repair service fee (total of parts cost + labor fee + handling fee). As this varies by model, the Company's Support Center will inform you before starting the repair procedure.
B. Shipping fee — within the warranty period, the Company bears it; outside the warranty period, the customer bears it.

Article 4 (Warranty Period for the Replacement Unit (Refurbished Product))
The warranty period for the replacement unit (refurbished product) is ninety (90) days from the date repair by replacement is completed. If a defect occurs within 90 days after replacement, the Company will provide free repair under the Service. However, if the original device's warranty period exceeds 90 days, the original device's warranty period takes precedence.

Article 5 (Cases Outside the Scope of These Terms)
5.1. The repair service cannot be provided when:

  • As a result of confirmation by the Company's Customer Support, repair is determined to be unnecessary.
  • Proof of purchase cannot be provided; or, if the proof is a document, it does not state the items required by the Company (store of purchase, date of purchase of the device, model name or model number, product serial number, etc.).
  • The device malfunctions due to human factors (including damage from intentionally dropping it, etc.).
  • After-sales service for the product has ended.

5.2. Even within the warranty period, free repair cannot be provided when:

  • The proof of purchase does not state the items needed to confirm the warranty period, such as the purchase date.
  • The product was purchased at an unofficial or non-affiliated online or physical store.
  • There is cosmetic damage or device malfunction due to human causes.
  • The product's nameplate, SN barcode, or seal has been removed or damaged and is illegible, or shows signs of tampering.
  • There is a defect from misuse deviating from the instruction manual, or from improper handling.
  • There is a malfunction or defect caused by modification, unauthorized repair, or third-party products.
  • There is a malfunction or damage from transport after the product's arrival, or from dropping, impact, or submersion while moving the product.
  • The damage results from theft, loss/misplacement, fraud/embezzlement, or harmful acts by a third party.
  • The damage results from force majeure (fire, flood, lightning, traffic accidents, etc.).
  • The Company otherwise determines that the case does not conform to these provisions.

Article 6 (Notes on Application of These Terms)
When returning the malfunctioning unit, please be sure to enclose the main unit and accessories (remote control). The Company bears no liability whatsoever for any loss, loss of profit, or lost opportunity arising from the customer's inability to use the applicable product, regardless of whether the Company could have foreseen it. Furthermore, the Company bears no liability whatsoever for damages arising from special circumstances (indirect damages, lost profits, accident compensation, damage to items other than the Company's products, the customer's business losses, etc.).

Article 7 (Prohibited Acts)

  • Acts that cause, or may cause, disadvantage or damage to the Company or a third party.

Article 8 (Changes to These Terms)
These Terms may be revised at the Company's discretion without prior notice. In such cases, the latest revised version of these Terms applies to the conditions of use of the Service, so please check the latest content. Revisions under this Article may include shortening the warranty period, restricting or excluding eligible products, and changing, restricting, or abolishing the content of the warranty service. Unless otherwise provided by the Company, the revised Terms take effect when posted on the Company's website.
